Ceiling-mounted launch monitor built for indoor simulators, using radar and high-speed cameras from above the tee. It runs Trackman's own software on a Windows PC, with a yearly license after the first year.

Trackman's numbers
Source: Trackman's guide for the iO, checked 5th November 2026.
Your room: 12' 0" wide, 18' 0" deep, 9' 0" ceiling. The iO hangs from the ceiling above the hitting spot.
The maker asks for 8' 2". You have 9' 0".
Trackman asks for at least 8' 2" from the ball to the net or screen. Leave room behind the ball for your backswing too.
Trackman gives no number for room depth or room width. Check those yourself, with a full swing of your longest club.

Trackman says the iO measures 3D spin and spin axis. It does not say which of its other values are measured and which are calculated.
The simulator runs on your phone, tablet, PC or TV, not on the iO. Third-party simulators run without a Trackman membership, but they have their own cost.
| Software | Works with the iO | Runs on | Cost | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trackman Virtual Golf and Performance Studio, Home license | Yes | Windows PC only | First year included, then $700 a year | 70 courses, 4 games, all 14 ball values. Club speed is the only club value. |
| Trackman Virtual Golf and Performance Studio, Home Complete license | With an add-on | Windows PC only | One-time $10,500 upgrade, then $1,100 a year | 500+ courses, all games, all 14 ball and 9 club values such as face angle and club path. |
| GSPro | No | Windows PC (10 or 11) only | Not usable with the iO (GSPro itself is $250 a year) | A 2025 review says Trackman does not support GSPro or E6. GSPro's own list names no Trackman unit. |

Trackman iO
Compared with
GolfJoy Rigel 3 Pro (GR3 Pro)
Today the GolfJoy Rigel 3 Pro (GR3 Pro) costs $4.00 more than the Trackman iO.
The first year comes with the unit. After that, the Home license costs $700 a year. Home Complete costs $1,100 a year, and moving up to it costs a one-time $10,500.

Home gives 70 courses, 4 games and all ball values, but only club speed for the club. Home Complete adds 500+ courses, all games and full club data such as face angle and club path.

Trackman's install guide allows 8 ft 2 in from the mat to the ceiling, but warns of shadowing at that height. It recommends 10 ft or more. Above 10 ft 6 in, you hang it on a drop pole.
Source: support.trackmangolf.com
Keep the tee at least 8 ft 2 in from the screen. Trackman recommends a room about 15 ft wide, 10 ft high and 18 ft deep. For left- and right-handed players in a bay as narrow as 10 ft, Trackman offers the iO DUO.
Sources: trackman.com, trackman.com
We found no sign that it does. A 2025 review says Trackman does not support GSPro or E6, and GSPro lists no Trackman unit. Plan on Trackman's own software.

After 100+ shots, the tester rated its accuracy with the best overhead units, strong down to putting. Cost was the main drawback.
