GPS golf handheld with a small radar launch monitor built in, for warm-ups on the range and putting practice. It shows ball speed, club speed and estimated carry on its own 5-inch screen, but it is not a golf simulator.

- For full swings, put the G82 on the ground within 1 ft of the ball, in line with you and the ball.
- Keep it level with you and the ball, and prop it on a golf ball with the magnetic clip.
- For putting, put it 35 to 45 in from the ball. The ball sits 6 to 10 in forward or back from the device line.
- Garmin gives no number for room depth, ceiling height, room width or distance to a net.

Garmin's manual says the radar measures ball speed, club speed and swing times. It calls carry and total distance estimates, and says the unit cannot detect spin or launch angle.
