- Put the unit on flat ground beside the ball, at the same height as the ball.
- The ball goes about 16.5 in (42 cm) in front of the unit and 9 in (23 cm) to the side. The hitting zone is about 6 x 6 in (15 x 15 cm).
- Use it in a room with little or no sunlight. Do not point the front of the unit at a window.
- Square Golf gives no room size, ceiling height or distance to the net. PlayBetter, a store, calls 10 ft wide, 10 ft deep and 9 ft tall comfortable.
- The swing stick lets you practice in a small room where you cannot hit real balls.

What testers found
- Plugged In Golf, Square Golf review, Oct 2 2024
Against a GCQuad, ball speed was spot on and carry within a couple of yards. Club data often came up empty or a few degrees off.
- Golf Insider UK, Square Golf against TrackMan, Oct 29 2024
Iron and wedge carry was within 1 to 3 yards. Driver carry read about 13 yards short, with 6 to 15 yards of side error. The tester judged it good for most club golfers, not low handicappers.
